1 c. butter
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 15 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. light corn syrup
nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter in heavy 3 qt. saucepan.
2. Add sugar and salt. Stir thoroughly.
3. Stir in corn syrup; Mix well.
4. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
5. Cook and stir over medium heat to firm ball stage. 245 degrees.
6. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
7. Add nuts if desired
8. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 pan.
9. Cool and cut.
