1 cup soft shortening (or 1/2 butter/ & 1/2 shortening)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together: shortening, sugar & eggs.

Sift together, then stir in: flour cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

Chill dough thoroughly.

Roll into balls the size of walnuts.

Roll in mixture of 3TBSP sugar, 3 tsp. cinnamon.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400º F until slightly brown but still soft (8-10 minutes).
