Linguini Clam Italiano Recipe

2 T. olive oil
4 cloves garlic
1/2 c. grated carrot
1 chopped onion
1 stalk celery, diced
1 sliced medium zucchini
1 chopped bell pepper
1/4 c. parsley
1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
2 (6 oz. each) cans clams & juice
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
1 28 oz. can tomatoes / juice
1 c. red wine
1 T. oregano
1 1/2 tsp. basil
pinch cloves and pepper

In hot olive oil, saute garlic, carrots, onion, celery, zucchini, bell pepper and mushrooms. Add parsley, clams & juice, paste, tomatoes & juice, wine and seasonings. Saute for 10 - 15 minutes, breaking up tomatoes. Serve over linguini.
