5 cups fresh (or frozen) rhubarb
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
5 Tablespoons flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
4 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup (cooked) raisins

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
2. Line pie pan with lower crust.
3.In a large bowl, combine rhubarb, sugar, o. peel, flour & salt.
4. Dot with butter.
5. Cover with top crust--cut small slots in top crust to ventilate.
6. Bake for 10 minutes.
7. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 30 more minutes or until crust is golden brown.

*Important note: (Call dad over to eat it. He likes ice cream on it too.)
