1 pkg. pie crust mix
filling of choice (see below for suggestions)

Prepare pie crust mix as directed and shape into flat patty. Wrap in foil or plastic film and let stand at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Cut patty in half. Roll each on lightly floured board to 1/8" thickness and into rectangle 13 1/2x 9 inches. Cut into 2 1/4 inch squares. Center desired filling on pastry. Moisten edges and bring 4 corners together in center and seal edges well. Arrange on tray and chill until ready to fry. At serving time, heat oil to 350º. Cook until lightly brown or about 5 minutes.

Cheese Onion filling:
Center 3/4x3/4x1/8 inch cheese and top with pickled or cocktail onion. Also can substitute olive instead of onion.

Ginger Ham filling:
Spoon 1/2 T. ginger ham mixture in center.
