1 box yellow cake mix (Duncan Heinz)
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple
3/4 cup sugar
2 pkgs instant vanilla pudding (1.5 oz. box)
5 cups milk
1 large cool whip
3/4 cup coconut toasted
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Prepare and bake cake according to box directions. While the cake is baking, combine pineapple (with juice) and 3/4 cups sugar in a medium saucepan...cook over medium heat for 20 minutes until thick and syrupy, stirring occasionally. Pierce top of cake with fork at 1 inch spaces. Then pour pineapple mixture over cake, cool completely. Beat pudding mix with milk till smooth, spread pudding over cooled cake. Spread cool whip over pudding, spread coconut and pecans over cake and let put in refrigerator for 24 hours.
