Daging (Sizzling Steak Salad) Recipe

beef steaks
1 clove of crushed garlic
1- 2cm piece of finely chopped ginger
2 tsp. black peppercorns
1 T. sugar
2 T. tamarind sauce
3 T. dark soy sauce
1 T. oyster sauce

Marinade the steaks for several hours. Grill steaks to the preferred doneness. Reserve the marinade to make the dressing.

Place marinade in a small saucepan and add:
1/3 c. beef stock
2 T. ketchup
1 tsp. chili sauce
Juice of one lime
Bring to a light boil and simmer for five minutes. Serve sliced steak on tops of a bed of mixed lettuces and herbs. Lightly dress.
