Brown Idaho potatoes
1/2 stick butter
4 T minced garlic
8 oz. cream cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse potatoes well and chop into small chunks. Put into pan and cover with water. Add minced garlic and boil until soft. Drain, mash potatoes, add butter and cream cheese. Add a small amount of milk or sour cream if too thick.

I usually skip the butter and add lots more garlic (usually garlic powder) This originally came from Uncle Kenny's Mom and was a staple at all family functions for years! She would make this and top with butter and bake until serving... She made hers much creamier, Dad just likes them on the stiffer side.
