Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 Tbsp. rock salt
Ice
1/2 cup milk
1 T sugar
2-4 drops of vanilla
2 sandwich size zipper baggies
1 gallon size zipper baggie

Directions:
Directions:
Fill 1/3 of a gallon zipper baggie with ice. Put rock salt on top of the ice. Then, in one of the smaller bags, mix milk, sugar, and vanilla. (Have the child use a pipette or eye dropper to drop in vanilla for extra fine motor skills practice!) Zip the bag securely, and place inside the second sandwich baggie and zip shut. Place the ingredients bags inside the bag of ice. Close the ice bag and shake or toss back and forth for 5-10 minutes until the ice cream has frozen. Makes one serving.

Personal Notes:
This recipe can also be done with two coffee cans (one large, one small) instead of the zipper baggies. If using the baggies, you might want to have kids wear gloves when shaking the ice cream or they won't last long at the job!
