6+ slices of bacon
small chopped onion
1 8oz can of tomato sauce.
Minute rice (fill empty tomato sauce can)
1 C water

Directions:
Directions:
Brown bacon (crispy) and remove from grease. Set bacon aside and crumble it. Add chopped onion and to bacon grease and cook. Add 8 oz can of tomato sauce and 1 cup of water. Then add tomato sauce can full of minute rice and crumbled bacon. Simmer for 20 minutes. Check for doneness. If too dry add about 1/2 cup of water to mixture. Season to taste.

Mom wasn't really that great of a cook and we never had much money so we had to make a simple meal stretch for us all. So we ate pretty simply. This has always been one of my favorite dishes.
