CAKE:

2 cups Flour
2 cups Sugar
1 tsp. Soda
3 T Cocoa
1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup Water
1/2 cup Buttermilk
2 Eggs, beaten
1 tsp. Vanilla


ICING:

1/2 cup Butter
1/3 cup Milk
1 box Powdered Sugar
3 T Cocoa
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Nuts

CAKE:
Sift in flour, sugar, cocoa and soda into a bowl. Put the butter, Crisco, and water into a sauce pan. Heat and stir to mix. Continue to stir and bring to a full rolling boil. Boil for one minute. Mix with dry ingredients. Add the buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 11 x 16 x 1 inch cookie sheet with sides, sometimes called a jellyroll pan.

Bake @ 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Pour the following icing over the cake while it is still warm.


ICING:
Melt butter and add milk. Mix powdered sugar and cocoa together and add to mixture. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour the icing over the cake while it is still warm.
