Four slices French bread, sliced on the diagonal
1-1/2 thick
1/2 cup half-and-half cream
1 oz. brandy
2 tbsp. grated orange rind
2 large eggs
4 tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Place bread in glass dish. Mix remainder of ingredients and pour over bread. Turn bread to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Heat 4 tablespoons butter in heavy frying pan. Cook toast slowly until well browned on both sides - about 3 minutes per side. Dust with powdered sugar. All liquid should be absorbed into the bread. If not spoon it over the untoasted side of the bread while cooking.
