1 cup bread crumbs
2 lbs. Ground beef
2 tbsp. curry powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Sauce
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, pressed
1 cup chopped apple
1 tsp. curry powder
3/4 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup flour
1 can fruit (fruits for salad, not fruit cocktail)
1 can chicken stock
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:

Mix beef, crumbs, and seasonings. Shape into 1" meatballs. Brown in the butter and oil. Drain fruit and set aside. Combine remainder of sauce ingredients including fruit juices and cook until apple and onion are tender. Add meatballs and fruit and continue cooking for about 20 minutes or until all flavors are well blended and juices are thickened. Can be served with toothpicks as party food or with rice as an entrée.
