2 sticks butter softened
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
2 cups plus 2 tbsps. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Frosting:
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
6 tbsps. milk
Directions:
Directions:
Blend first 4 ingredient, then add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and soda, beat for 3 minutes.

Pour into a 11 x 15" greased and floured pan and bake.

Let cake cool a little, then make frosting:

Melt the butter and the milk, bring to a boil, add the rest of ingredients. Spread over cake when cake has cooled a little.
