1 4-oz. German chocolate bar
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 T. cornstarch
pinch of salt
1 can evaporated milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pie shell, unbaked
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 1/3 c. coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate and butter in a sauce pan over low heat, stirring frequently. Add sugar, cornstarch and salt to chocolate. In a mixing bowl, beat milk, eggs and vanilla together. Gradually stir in the chocolate mixture. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle nuts and coconut over the pie. Cover the outside of the crust with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning, and bake in preheated 375º oven for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake and additional 10 minutes.
