1 cup soft shortening, (1/2 Crisco, 1/2 butter)
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cups ground pecans
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/4 salt

Coating:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon sifted together

Directions:
Directions:
Bake at 325º for 14 to 16 minutes.

Mix together shortening, sugar and pecans.

Sift together flour and salt, and mixture to flour. Mix to a soft consistence. Chill dough ball for a couple of hours or over night.

Pull off a walnut size of dough, (or smaller).
Roll with hands pencil thin. Cut in 2 1/2 " lengths.

Form crescent on ungreased cookie sheet.
Cool on pan, very fragile.

While slightly warm, dip crescents gently in coating .
