5 c flour
5 tsp baking powder
1 c sugar
2 sticks butter softened
6 eggs beaten
1 tsp vanilla

Icing:
2 lbs Confectioners' sugar
water
Anise flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Shape into balls or form around finger and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until you see the top start to brown. Cool cookies on towel or wire rack. To make icing, mix Confectioners' sugar with flavoring and water until mixture is thin enough to spread. If icing is too thin it will slide off cookie Cool completely before icing. Sprinkle cookies with jimmies when icing is wet. Dry completely before storing.

You can also use Anisette to flavor icing. Icing will thicken as it stands, add water as needed.
