Cream together:
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c granular sugar
1 c butter (1/2 lb)

Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time.
Sift together and add to the first mixture:
1 ½ c flour
2 t baking powder
1 t baking salt
1 t salt

ADD:
2 ½ c Quick cooking oatmeal
1 c chopped nuts
1 t vanilla

Directions:

Drop on a cookie sheet with teaspoon. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 – 10 minutes or until done.

For future use: Some of the dough may be formed into rolls, wrapped in wax paper and then in foil and frozen. To bake: Let thaw 20 minutes andslice and bake.

Roger recommends. He says they are best when a little soft, rather than real crispy. These are absolutely the best cookies ever. Roger likes them warm, right off the wax paper.
