8-10 tart cooking apples
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 stick hard butter

1 unbaked pie shell
cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º F. Peel, core, and quarter apples; then halve. Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg & cinnamon. Add until coated. Arrange in shell and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix sugar and flour and cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle on apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Slide pie into bag. Cover and bake fastened with paper clips or staples. Bake on cookie sheet at 450º for 1 hour.
