1 lb sausage
2 Tbsp butter
4 cups whole milk or 2%
5 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp pepper
salt to taste

Melt butter and cook sausage until crumbled and cooked through. KEEP THE FAT! Add flour to the grease and cook 2 minutes. Add milk and stir with heat set to medium-high. Gravy will thicken as it cooks. Full thickness will occur when it is a slow boil. Salt/pepper to desired taste.

Serve with biscuits, toast, or toasted english muffins.

This is an old favorite for Sunday Brunch. It isn't healthy, but it is delicious. Everything in moderation. We really enjoy this on English Muffins, but any bread/biscuit will do.
