1 1/2 cups butter unsalted
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanills
5 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Icing:
1/4 cup softened butter
3-4 cups powdered sugar
Milk to soften where it makes it easy to frost cookies.
food coloring (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1 In bolw cream butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients.
2. Seperate into 4 seperate balls and wrap in wax paper and chill for at least an hour to 24 hours.
3. Preheat oven to 375. Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 inch. Cut into shapes with cutter. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
4. Bake for 6 -8 minutes until lightly brown aound edges of cookies.
5. Cool cookies and frost if desired. Let frosting dry before stacking with wax paper inbetween.
