1pkg 18 1/4 oz yellow cake mix
1 can 20 oz crushed pineapple in own juice
3/4 c granulated sugar
2 pkgs 3 1/2 oz ea instant vanilla pudding
3 c milk
1 c confectioner sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 flaked coconut
1 c heavy whipping cream

Bake cake as directed on package. (9X13 pan)

In sauce pan combine pineapple,3/4 c sugar, cook over medium heat until thick and syrupy (20min.)
Pierce baked cake at one inch spaces w/fork then pour pineapple mixture over cake and cool completely.

In medium bowl mix pudding with milk until thick, then spread over cooled cake.

Beat cream, add confectioner sugar and vanilla, spread over cake and refrigerate for 24 hours.
Toast coconut and sprinkle over cake.
