Ingredients:  
1-1/2 lbs lamb shanks
2 tsp olive oil
4 c water
2 d sliced, peeled potatoes
1 med onion, sliced
1/2 c sliced carrot
1/2 c cubed turnip
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp each: marjoram, thyme & rosemary
1/8 tsp pepper
2 tblsp all-purpose flour
2 tblsp milk
1/2 tsp browning sauce
3 tblsp parsley

Directions:
In dutch oven, brown lamb in oil over med-hi heat.
Add water; bring to boil
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour
Add the potatoes, onion, carrot, turnip & seasonings
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for
30 minutes or until the veggies are tender
In a small bowl, combine the flour, milk and browning sauce until smooth; stir into stew.
Add parsley. Cook for 2 minutes until thickened
