2 C. All purpose flour
2 C. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda

3 ½ T.. Dark cocoa powder
1 stick margarine
½ C. shortening
1 C. water

2 eggs
½ C. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Frosting:
3 ½ T.. Dark cocoa powder
1/3 C. milk
1 stick margarine
1 lb. of powdered sugar




Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, mix flour, sugar and soda. In a small sauce pan, combine and bring to a boil, the cocoa, margarine, shortening and water. Add and mix hot mixture to the flour mixture. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Bake in greased jelly roll pan for 20 minutes in 400° oven.
Frosting:
Bring to a boil the cocoa, milk and butter. Add this mixture to 1 lb. of powdered sugar.

Cool cake for a short time then pour over cake. (The cake should still be quite warm when you pour the frosting over it)
