3 slices of bacon
3/4 medium head of cabbage, cored and cut into wedges
1 1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons of butter

Directions:
Directions:
In a large heavy bottomed stockpot with a lid, fry the bacon until crisp. Removed the bacon, pat dry with paper towels, crumble and set aside.

Add 1 cup of water to bacon grease. Add the cabbage. Bring to boil and add the salt and pepper. Place the lid on the pot and reduce the heat to medium. Allow the cabbage to cook for 10-15 minutes or until tender. Remove the pot from the heat. Add the butter and stir until it is melted. Add the crumbled bacon and stir.
