Pastry:
1 c butter (2 sticks)---softened
2 c flour---sifted
1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese--softened

You can substitute Pepperidge Farm Puff
Pastry Sheets for the pastry.

Crumb topping:
1 c butter (2 sticks)--melted
2 c flour
1 c sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and cream cheese until well blended.
Blend in flour and form mixture into a ball. Put in wax paper and chill for two hours. Divide the ball in half and roll out into two pieces each 1/8 " thick so each piece fits in cookie sheet.
Topping:
Melt butter and cool. Sift dry ingredients, add to butter and mix well. Chill. Mix to form crumbs and spread crumbs over pastry. Bake 350º for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool on rack for 10 - 15 minutes. Sprinkle confectioners sugar over top and then cut into squares.
