Meat loaf:
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
2/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs or 2 cups soft bread crumbs
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp. fresh parsley, snipped
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried leaf sage, basil or oregano, crushed
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1-1/2 lbs. ground beef, lamb or pork

Topping:
1/4 cup catsup
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
For meat loaf, in a bowl combine eggs and milk; stir in bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, sage and pepper. Add meat; mix well. Lightly pat mixture into an 8” x 4” x 2” loaf pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until internal temperature registers 160 degrees. Spoon off fat. For topping, in a bowl combine catsup, sugar and mustard; spread over meat. Bake for 10 minutes more. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
