1 Quart Scalded Milk
1 cup shortening
1 tbsp. salt
1-1/4 cup sugar
1 inch cake yeast OR 2 pkg dry yeast
3 eggs
8-10 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Add shortening, salt, and 1 1/4 cups sugar to milk when it is lukewarm. Make yeast mixture by mixing together 1" yeast (Can substitute 2 pkg dry yeast), 1 tsp. sugar and 1/2 cup warm water. Add eggs and mix in flour to make doughy. Let rise once then roll out dough & cut out and let rise again. Fry & dip in glaze while warm..

GLAZE:
2# powdered sugar
warm water
vanilla
Mixture will be thin.
