1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups peeled, sliced Granny Smith apples
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Grease a 9x13" pan. Cream together butter, salt and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Mix well. Add apple slices and nuts. Mixture is quite thick - spread evenly in pan and bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt.
