5 cans minced clams
1 lg. green pepper
1 med onion
1 lb. bacon cooked and diced
bread crumbs
grated cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Saute the pepper, onions & bacon together in large fry pan. Do not add oil. When the onions get glassy, remove from pan and place in a large bowl. Add a handful of grated cheese and a handful of bread crumbs. Mix well and set aside. Add minced clams to the mixture with a little juice from cans.
Topping: In empty clam shells place a lg. teaspoon full of mixture. When they are all filled, broil for 15 mins. or until topping is brown.

You can make this recipe in a large casserole dish. Bake for 45 mins until heated through. Serve with crackers. Can also add a squirt of lemon juice in mixture for added flavor.
