10 1/2 ounces (about 3 cups) all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
water
2 cups butter
3 cups coarsely ground cashew nuts
9 egg yolks
5 egg whites
confectioners' sugar to sprinkle over top

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300º F;
2. Butter a rectangular cake pan;
3. Make a very thick sugar syrup over medium heat;
4. Mix in the butter, the mixed egg yolks, the egg whites (previously beaten), the flour and the ground nuts;
5. Place the mixture in cake pan, and place in the oven;
6. When cooked, cut in squares and sprinkle with confections' sugar.

This recipe was provided in Portuguese by my cousin Ana Elisa. It is a Portuguese recipe that according to Ana Elisa, was very appreciated by her father's family, that was of Portuguese descent.

In Portuguese, toucinho means bacon, and ceu means heaven. So, the literal translation for the name of this recipe would be "Heavenly Bacon", I guess in honor of its texture.
