1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (sift if lumpy)
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
2/3 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
1 large egg
1 large egg white
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in large bowl. In small bowl, combine sugar, oil, egg, egg white and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth. Pour this into flour mixture and stir until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Batter will be stiff. Spread batter into 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 baking pan coated with Pam. Place in preheated 350 degree oven and bake 20 to 22 minutes or until firm at edges and wooden pick inserted off center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Place pan on rack to cool. Makes 8 bars.
