1-1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 tbsp. bacon fat or butter
1 large onion, finely cut
1 clove garlic, minced
2 cups uncooked spaghetti, broken in small pieces
1 can tomato paste
2 cans water
1 small can peas
1 small can pimiento, finely chopped
1 small can ripe olives
1/2 lb. American cheese, grated

Brown onion in fat or butter. Add meat and garlic and cook until done stirring frequently. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water, drain, rinse and add to meat along with tomato paste, water, peas, pimientos, half of olives and half of cheese. Mix together and pour in oiled baking dish. Place remaining olives and cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 10.
