1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. white or whole-wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. uncooked oats
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 - 1 c. raisins (optional)
1/2 c. walnuts (or any nut)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar, beating 1-2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla, beat until combined. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Add oatmeal, raisins, chocolate chips, nuts, as desired. Drop spoonfuls of dough on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in a preheated oven at 325º for 8-10 minutes or until done. Remove from pans with spatula and place on flattened brown paper bags to cool. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
