1 cup sour milk
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup shortening(butter flavor is best)
3 cups Old Fashioned Oatmeal
1/2 teas. salt
1 teas. soda
3 cups flour
2 teas. vanilla
1 cup raisins plumped*

Directions:
Directions:
To plump raisins, cook in pan with small amount of water until they are heated thru.
To make the sour milk, add a Tbls. of vinegar and let sit.
Mix all together and let sit a couple hours or overnight before baking.
Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of a glass dipped in flour.
Bake at 375º
