3 to 4 c fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 stick margarine
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Put peaches and brown sugar (sweeten to taste) into small frying pan and warm slightly on top of stove. Melt margarine in 8x8x2 baking pan in oven. Mix sugar, flour, milk and baking powder. Spoon batter over melted margarine in baking pan. Spread warm fruit over batter. Bake at 350º for 45 to 60 minutes.

Canned fruit can be substituted for fresh fruit, using a large can.
