Combine: 2 cups flour, 2 cups sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt
Heat: 1 stick butter or margarine, 4 tbsp. cocoa, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1 cup water.
Mix liquid with dry, - - then add - -
1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup buttermilk.

Mix all together and bake in a greased brownie pan for 20 minutes at 350 degree oven.
FROSTING *** 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup cocoa, 6 tbsp. milk, 1 box powdered sugar (approximately 4 cups), 1 cup nuts (optional).
*** Stir together butter, cocoa, and milk. Slowly bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and nuts. Mix and spread on cake. This amount provides a thick icing.
