Mix:
5 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbl. yeast
1/2 cup powdered milk
1-1/2 tsp. salt


Add:
2/3 cup shortening (white)
1 cup warm mashed potatoes
2 cups hot water
2 eggs



Add: 2-3 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients. Add other ingredients and mix until a good, moist dough forms.

Let rise one hour. Put in refrigerator overnight.

Roll out doughnuts. Let rise 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
Fry in hot oil. Roll immediately in granulated sugar or dip in a runny chocolate frosting. Lay on paper towels.

Makes 3-31/2 dozen doughnuts.
