2 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
2 envelopes dry yeast
1/3 c. warm water
2 T. butter
2-1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses or honey or mixture of both
6 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl pour boiling water over oats. Let stand 1/2 hr. Dissolve yeast in bowl in warm water, let stand 5 min. Add butter, salt, molasses into oats and add yeast. Add gradually 4 c. flour and mix well. Add 2 more cups a little at a time until it is not too sticky. Let rise until double in bowl. Oil 2 loaf pans. Divide dough in half V shape into loaves.

Put into pans and let rise until double. Oil tops and bake at 325º for 50 min. Take out of pans within 5 minutes and butter tops. Cool before putting in plastic bags.
