12 mirlitons
2 lbs. shrimp
1 lb. crabmeat
creole seasoning mix
breadcrumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Boil mirliton until soft; peel. Saute in olive oil creole seasoning mix until soft; add chopped mirliton and mash with potato masher; add seasoned Italian bread crumbs, shrimp, crabmeat and butter. Put in casserole and top with breadcrumbs. Bake 350º for 30 minutes.

This is roughly Mother's recipe. She would sometimes add 2 slices of bread, without crust, to the pot and mix it in, if it looked too watery.
