1 box Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust
6 cups thinly sliced, peeled apples
3/4 cup sugar
2 T all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 T lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425º. Roll out pie crust and place in an un-greased 9" pie plate. Press crust firmly against sides and bottom. In a large bowl, mix together apples, sugar, flour, spices and lemon juice, and pour into pie crust. Place second crust over the top of the filling, press edges together to seal, flute with fork (if desired), Cut slits in top of crust (to allow for air to escape). Bake 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. To prevent crust from burning, cover edges of crust with tinfoil, after the first 15 minutes of baking.

This is one of the many pies that is made on Pie Day, which is held every year on the day before Thanksgiving at Connie's house. She supplies all the ingredients and we all pitch in and help make up to 25 pies in a day! This is something we look forward to every year.
