1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 c. creamy peanut butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 T. milk
1 1/4 c. all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Cream Crisco, peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl on medium speed of electric mixer for one minute. Scrape sides of bowl frequently. Add egg and milk. Beat until well blended. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Drop round tablespoonfuls of dough on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped in flour. Bake at 375º for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack. 2 dozen cookies.
