1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. nuts
1 c. flour
1 can dark cherries, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cherries with sugar, butter, egg, soda, salt, nuts and flour until a batter forms. Spread in a greased and floured cake pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350º. Cool. Mix 1 c. of cherry juice with 1/2 c. sugar and 1 tbsp. cornstarch. Cook until thick. Cool. Frost cake with whipped cream. Spread thickened juice over whipped cream. Refrigerate.
