Butter a 10” cast iron skillet
Sprinkle bottom of skillet with ½ to ½ cup brown sugar
5 pineapple rings (drain and reserve liquid)
decorate with Maraschino cherries

Mix up one white or yellow cake mix according to directions but substitute reserved pineapple juice for the water.

Pour batter into skillet
Bake according to package directions or until cake is browned and toothpick comes out clean.

Remove skillet from oven. Let stand no more than 5 minutes.
Invert carefully on to serving platter
