2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
¼ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 package (4 serving size) instant pudding
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 package (12 oz) chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, the sugars, pudding mix & vanilla in large bowl, beat until smooth & creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, then stir in chips & nuts (batter will be stiff). Drop by rounded teaspoons onto un-greased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
High altitude: use large eggs, bake 9 to 11 minutes.
