1/3 c. oatmeal
1 c. milk
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 eggs, beaten
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, chopped
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. fresh or dried sage, chopped
freshly ground pepper to taste
1 c. ketchup
1 T. Dijon mustard

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Soak oatmeal in milk 5 minutes. Add beef, eggs, onion, garlic, salt, sage and pepper. Mix well. Place in six small individual bread tins or a 9 inch loaf pan. Whisk together ketchup and mustard. Spread on top of each meatloaf to desired thickness. Bake 45 minutes for miniature loaves or 2 hours for large loaf. Top with any remaining sauce for final 10 minutes. Freezes and reheats well.
