5 c. diced cooked potatoes
2 qts. milk
2 c. cream
2 tsp.dry onion
dash of salt & pepper for taste
1 lb. bacon

Simmer the milk, cream, onion, salt, pepper and potato in a large pot. Mean while fry the bacon ( cut in 1 in. pieces) crispy. Put bacon in soup and simmer.

I like to thicken it with some cornstarch. Be careful that you don't have your heat to high or it will burn. It go really good with home made buns.
