Since I live in So. Calif and we never know when an earthquake might hit, I make it a point to keep a few cans of tuna in water and beef (I prefer Libby's) on hand, as well as several cans of veggies and fruits. They are all things we can eat if we have no gas or electricity. Also, keep a good non electric can opener in the drawer.
