1 1/2 C. white sugar
3/4 C. buttermilk
1/2 C. butter
2 T. corn syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, stir together the sugar, buttermilk, butter, corn syrup and baking soda. Bring to a boil, and cook for 7 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and stir in the vanilla.

I use the powdered buttermilk that is reconstituted with water. These are great on Dutch babies and banana pancakes.
