2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup Dutch cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 cup confectioner's sugar, sifted
1/4 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all together either in a food processor or by hand-get air into this by kneading. Roll out dough between two sheets of waxed paper and chill for 2 hours.
Peel off top sheet and cut out with heart cutters, 2 1/2 inches wide. Arrange on baking sheets on parchment paper (gather scraps and roll out again). You may need to chill dough briefly. Bake at 325º for 16-18 minutes or until set. Cool briefly and then transfer to racks. Cool completely.
